JUNK a story...

A group of outsiders living on an asteroid mining colony must learn to survive despite needing government supplied anti-virus updates for nanotechnology in their blood. Technology their immune systems have become dependent on to prevent them from dying of disease. Tired of living like junkies getting updates from dealers who traffic in cracked codes, they form a plan to steal the identities of dead soldiers in order to book passage of the colony. It’s a terrible plan.
